The Paths of Evolution

Within our universe there are 3 primary evolutionary paths through which units of consciousness evolve. These three paths are biological, devic, and artifactual. Let's begin with the biological path.

Biological Path of Evolution

As one might expect, the biological path of evolution involves units of consciousness that evolve through incarnational experience within biological forms. Such units of consciousness can come into being at a very simplistic level. However, as these units of conscious evolve, they periodically undergo transmutations which enable them to embody increasingly complex biological forms. As evolutionary development progresses, such units of consciousness gradually become capable of increasingly sophisticated thinking and feeling processes. Eventually they may reach a point of development at which they would be imbued with intention. Such intention would be in the form of one of the 12 Virtues of our Creator, as discussed in the section entitled, "Patterns of Creation". The 12 Virtues that are discussed in that section are listed below for convenient reference.

Once the evolving unit of consciousness incorporates the aspect of Virtue into its beingness, it may, from that point on, appropriately be characterized as a sentient being. A sentient being, as least as we shall define it, is a being that is self-aware, that has the capacity to think, to feel, to perceive, and that is imbued with intention.

On Planet Earth, there are currently only two categories of biological animal forms that are suitable for embodiment by sentient beings: human forms and cetacean forms, such as dolphins and whales. Among the Light Workers, it is rather common for an oversoul to extend some of it soul units into embodiment in human forms, and others soul units into cetacean forms. Many of the Light Workers who are currently working to help raise consciousness within humankind regarding the cetaceans are extensions of oversouls who have embodiments in both worlds.

Some of the Light Workers have learned to channel dolphin consciousness in a manner similar to which channeling takes place with other extraterrestrial and interdimensional beings. My first opportunity to experience that was in conjunction with a channeling session be Neville Rowe a few years ago. I sat just a few feet from him during the session, and when the dolphin consciousness merged in with him in preparation for the channeling sessions, the energies were absolutely delightful -- very joyful and loving. Some of their perspectives are, of course, very interesting. During the session they indicated that in general, dolphins retain much more conscious awareness of their spiritual nature while in embodiment than do humans. They also indicated that it is much easier for them to move their consciousness about freely outside of their bodies.

Within other planetary systems throughout the Cosmos, there are many other biological forms that are suitable for embodiment by sentient beings. Such forms include sophisticated versions of many of the mammal, bird, insect, and reptilian forms that we find here on Earth.

Pleiadian lore is rich with references to the "Bird Tribes" -- presumably a civilization of highly evolved sentient beings who customarily embody in sophisticated biological forms similar to some of our bird species. Ken Carey's book, Return of the Bird Tribes, presumably refers to this cosmic family of beings.

New units of consciousness may initially come into being as relatively simplistic forms. However, it is not necessary to be created at such an elemental level. At the beginning of this evolutionary cycle here on Earth, a vast number of new units of consciousness were created who began their evolutionary journey as sentient beings, embodying both human and cetacean forms. Regardless of whether a being begins as a simplistic form, or as a more sophisticated form, there ultimately is no limit as to how far such a being can evolve within the overall evolutionary scheme. Even vast units of conscious that embody planetary systems may have at one time begun their evolutionary journey embodied in a very simplistic biological form.

Devic Path of Evolution

Next, let's consider the devic path of evolution. Devas are beings who work in close cooperation with the nature kingdoms, including the various "forces" of nature. The devic kingdom includes the beings whom we know as angels, and a vast array of other beings ranging in sophistication from rather simple "elementals", or "nature spirits", to very evolved devas who reside within such natural forms as mountains or lakes.

Since the bodies of devic beings are not perceptible through the five senses of our human bodies, devas are not yet generally acknowledged by most people here on Earth at this time. Humanity, for example, tends to view the various elements of weather, such as clouds, lightening, hurricanes, etc,, as being essentially random effects of scientific phenomenon. In reality, however, great beings of the devic kingdom embody and guide the elements of weather, in alignment with the will of the planetary logos.

As within the biological path, new units of consciousness within the devic kingdom may come into being at a very elemental level, or they can be created at a more sophisticated level. In either case, such beings ultimately transform into sentient beings at the point at which they are imbued with intention. In the case of the devic kingdom, however, intention is not imbued in the form of one of the 12 Virtues that we have previously discussed. Rather, there are different structures within the devic kingdom. It is far beyond the scope of this section to delve into all of the various forms and structures that exist within the devic kingdom. However, let's consider the structure of the archangels as an example.

Whereas within the biological realm the hierarchial structure is based on multiples of 12, the corresponding structure within the angelic realm of is based on multiples of 7. Within this realm, there are 7 different "Attributes" related to intention, in the same manner that there are 12 Virtues related to intention within the biological realm. These 7 Attributes are:

There are 7 archangels who serve as the administrative council for the devic realm within the overall Pleiadian system. Each of these is imbued with a particular Attribute.

A list of these archangels, along with their dominant Attribute, is shown below. As a side note, it is important to realize that highly evolved such as archangels have functioned in many, many different capacities throughout their long cosmic history. Thus, they have been nkown by various names, and it is not uncommon for such beings to use different identities from time to time depending on the situation. The names listed below are only one such set of identities.

Although we normally think of devic beings as being associated only with the nature kingdom, residing within plant and mineral forms, devas also may associate themselves in a custodial role with artificially created forms such as houses, automobiles, and airplanes. As we learn to acknowledge their presence, to appreciate them, and to work in close communication and cooperation with them, we will find our lives flowing much more harmoniously.

Artifactual Path of Evolution

Artifactual units of consciousness are synthesized forms of consciousness that are created within various advanced civilizations. Since our civilization here on Earth is still in its infancy, we have very little knowledge or comprehension of such forms of consciousness. In the original "Star Trek" series, the character, "Spock", or in the more recent version, the character, "Data", are personifications of artifactual beings.

By using a process of synthesis, the specific qualities and attributes that are desired can be incorporated directly into such units of consciousness. Artifactual units of consciousness can be created in varying degrees of sophistication, including various forms of sentient beings.

Crossover Between Paths

As beings within any of the 3 paths of evolution progress through various developmental experiences, it is not uncommon for them to crossover between paths from time to time in order to broaden their experience. For example, sentient beings from the angelic path may choose to embody in human form here on Earth -- and indeed many have at this time. Likewise, sentient beings of artifactual origin also may choose to embody in human form to broaden their experience. One of the cosmic groups of artifactual beings is known as the "spaciens". During the past 200 years, some of these beings have incarnated here on Earth in human forms. The spaciens are particularly adept in the field of cosmic science.

From a human perspective, these evolutionary paths could be thought of in terms of "family affiliations". For example, if a Light Worker's origin is from within the devic realm, it is highly probably that such a person will feel a very close affiliation with the devic kingdom, even while in human embodiment. And in many cases, such Light Workers may choose, as their Lightwork mission, to help develop better understanding and closer cooperation between humanity and the various realms of the devic kingdom.
